hi thankyou.....it's been a while since i have been on a site like this one.....i was without a computer for quite sometime....you really don't know how much you will miss something til it's gone. it's nice to connect with other people who know what it's like to have children with special needs and although we all have different challenges with our children there is an understanding that wecan have for each otherand we no longer feel quite as alone. take care jennifer

Welcome, I have a son with RAD (reactive attachment disorder) went though many trauma at a young age. I adopted him and have had an on going battle of wills. His out pt therapist took a new job and we are now going to meet a new therapist. He doesn't do well with change. He acts out instead of verablizing his problems. This causes many problems in our home and with neighbors, friends.I ask myself everyday what can I do differently,or am I doing more harm then good on days that he is at his worst. No one is there to tell or offer any helpSo I take one day at a time and enjoy the good days and cry alot on the bad days.

Hi Lori, It's only be over a year and I never replied back to you. Better late than never. Yes, my boys, ages 9 and 7. 9 y.o. has Asperger's and is very defiant (got suspended from school 4 times this year) and the 7 y.o. is NT and is a very good brother and son. Both are good kids but we definately have our moments with the 9 y.o. Jen
